Our department is guided by the needs of national importance and the forefront of international science, with the goal of a new generation of intelligent software methods and technology systems. Accordingly, we adhere to the systematic layout of basic research creating technology transfer outcomes and use defined, meta-level, network-structured, intelligent, trusted, universal, natural, and service-oriented new software technologies as the starting point. In addition, we systematically explore fundamental technology, disruptive technology innovation, and domain bottleneck solutions that are critical to the overall picture. We have basically formed the Intelligent Software Methods and Technology System for Internet and Human-Machine-Object Fusion supported by work and achievements in five areas: meta-level, defined networked software models, technology, and platforms, machine learning theory and methods based on weakly supervised information, trusted software methods and technology for complex environments, key supporting technologies for distributed computing of human-machine-object fusion, and domain-specific and semantic media content processing technology and application. As a result, we have achieved several critical theoretical results and breakthroughs in key technology challenges, published several influential papers internationally, and developed several new software support platforms and systems. We have achieved significant results in promoting the application and industrialization of key software technologies and systems and have won several national and provincial awards, including the National Natural Science Award and the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Especially in the core areas of software methodology in the software field and machine learning in the field of artificial intelligence, distinctive features, and advantages have been formed in competition with international peers. We strive to contribute to establishing a national software innovation system based on intelligent software methods and technology as the main body, and computer science basic theory and software development environment and tools as the two wings in the era of intelligence. We are promoting the transformation of our country's high-tech software industry from following to keeping pace with and leading the way and providing strong foundational support for the high-quality development of our software industry in terms of networked, intelligent, and trustworthy.
