Chaodong is currently an assistant professor in the Theory Group of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Nanjing University. His research area is theory of distributed computing. His main research interest lies in providing efficient and fault-tolerant algorithms for various distributed computing problems. He obtained B.Eng. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology where he majored in Information Security. After graduation, he spent around six years in Singapore and obtained PhD under the supervision of Seth Gilbert at National University of Singapore. Before he joined Nanjing University, he was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Freiburg, working with Fabian Kuhn.
