Dr. Jia Liu is an associate professor in Department of Computer Science and Technology at Nanjing University. Prior to that, he received his Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University in 2016 and his BSc degree from Xidian University in 2010. His research interests are in the areas of Internet of Things, RFID, and ubiquitous computing. He published 60+ peer-reviewed journal/conference papers, including USENIX NSDI, ACM MOBISYS, USENIX ATC, IEEE/ACM TNET, and IEEE TMC. He has won honors of the Special Gold Award of the Geneva International Invention Exhibition, the 333 high-level talent of Jiangsu Province, ACM SIGBED China Rising Star Award, Spark Award from Huawei, and the Youth Science and Technology Award of the Jiangsu Computer Society. He developed an RFID-based mobile localization system, which helps pinpoint misplaced items in a large-scale scenario. This system was named 10 ICIM Scientific and Technological Developments 2022, for its high academic value and a wide range of applications in 20+ provinces in China.
